A CLI-based agentic coding assistant vs. chat Claude; how it differs from GitHub Copilot (autonomous multi-file changes, planning, git integration); typical use cases.
2. Setup & first session (hands-on)
Installation and configuration; CLAUDE.md as project context; basic prompting for coding tasks.
3. Plan Mode & multi-step tasks (hands-on)
Reviewing the plan before execution; navigating an existing codebase; multi-file changes; reviewing diffs before accepting them.
4. Automation — Routines & scripts (hands-on)
Build reusable procedures (Routines); small automation scripts; fix bugs in existing code.
5. Git/GitHub workflows (hands-on)
Commits and pull requests through Claude Code; the review flow; awareness of CI/CD integration.
6. Responsible use for developers
Reviewing AI-generated code before merging; security (secrets, injection risks); when to trust output and when to verify it.
7. Next steps: team workflows
Enterprise elements (approval flows, multi-developer codebases) — a taste of a possible separate enterprise module.
