This page describes what personal data Esbensen Engineering collects, why, how long it is kept, and what rights you have. It applies to eeng.dk.

Who else receives the data
I never sell or rent data. The site loads nothing from other servers — fonts and images are hosted here. To make the site work, data is processed by two suppliers with whom I have data processing agreements:
- Simply.com A/S (Denmark) — hosting, database and sending email.
- Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland) — card payment. Stripe receives your name and email and may transfer data to the USA under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Your card details are entered at Stripe and never pass through this site.
Visitor measurement
I measure which pages are viewed, how long they stay open, and which country the visit comes from. I use this to see which courses attract interest. The measurement uses no cookies, and no IP addresses are stored. To count visitors — rather than just page views — a pseudonym is derived from your visit, and it changes every day. The same person therefore cannot be followed from one day to the next, and I have no figures for repeat visits. The basis is my legitimate interest in knowing what is in demand (Art. 6(1)(f)). The measurements are deleted after 12 months.
Cookies
The site uses no cookies — not even for the visitor measurement described above. There is therefore no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. The two cookies that are set are necessary for the site to work:
- eeng_lang — remembers whether you read the site in Danish, English or German. Contains only "da", "en" or "de" and is kept for one year.
- PHPSESSID — keeps you logged in if you have an account. Disappears when you close the browser.
Server log
The hosting provider keeps an operational log of requests to the server, which may contain IP addresses. It is used for operations and troubleshooting and is deleted by Simply.com according to their own schedule. I do not use it to track visitors.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored encrypted and cannot be read — not even by me. Course material sits behind a login and is released only to participants on that course. Card details are handled solely by Stripe.
Your rights
You can always ask to see the data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, have the processing restricted, object to it, or receive the data in a common format. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time — this does not affect the lawfulness of what happened before.
Write to jesper.esbensen@eeng.dk. I reply within one month. If you are not satisfied with the reply, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, datatilsynet.dk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below is updated. Significant changes are notified by email to those affected.
